Biografía/Biography
Daniel O Mosquera es profesor deestudios latinoamericanos y estudios culturales en el departamento de Idiomas y literaturas en Union College (NY, USA) y ha sido co-editor de y es parte hoy del comité consultor del Journal of Latin American Cultural Studies. Ha publicado sobre temas relacionados a la historia y literaturas coloniales, traducciones de textos varios, sobre lo político y la religión popular, sobre teoría cultural, entre otros temas.
Daniel O Mosquera is a professor of Latin American studies and cultural studies in the Department of Languages and Literatures at Union College (NY, USA) and has been co-editor of and is today part of the consulting committee of the Journal of Latin American Cultural Studies. He has published on topics related to colonial history and literature, translations of various texts, politics and popular religion, cultural theory, among other topics.

Circo social: innovación, pedagogía interactiva y activismo social
Esta presentación se enfoca en tres manifestaciones diferentes del circo social en torno a pedagogías ecológicas que abordan temas del medio ambiente, la relación entre circo social y artes callejeras y las políticas culturales que afectan positiva y negativamente estas iniciativas. Los casos en cuestión son el Circo Reciclado (Argentina), Contemporary Circus and Immersive Arts (CCIAC, Troy, NY, USA) y Gran Circo Teatro (Chile).
Social circus: innovation, interactive pedagogy and social activism
This presentation focuses on three different manifestations of social circus around ecological pedagogies that address environmental issues, the relationship between social circus and street arts, and the cultural policies that positively and negatively affect these initiatives. The cases in question are Circo Reciclado (Argentina), Contemporary Circus and Immersive Arts (CCIAC, Troy, NY, USA) and Gran Circo Teatro (Chile).
