Biografía/Biography

Además de ser cofundador de Circus and its Others y coorganizador de esta conferencia, soy profesora adjunta de Arte Dramático en la Universidad de Brock, crítica de teatro en el Toronto Star y asesora editorial de la revista Intermission. Mi monografía The Original Stage Productions of Robert Lepage: Making Theatre Global ganó el premio Ann Saddlemyer de la Asociación Canadiense de Investigación Teatral al mejor libro sobre un tema canadiense en 2021-22. Soy líder de movilización de conocimientos para Staging Better Futures/Mettre en scène de meilleurs avenirs, una asociación intersectorial que aborda las desigualdades sistémicas en el teatro canadiense y la educación postsecundaria.

In addition to being co-founder of Circus and its Others and the co-organizer of this conference, I am Adjunct Professor of Dramatic Arts at Brock University, theatre critic at the Toronto Star, and editorial advisor at Intermission magazine. My monograph The Original Stage Productions of Robert Lepage: Making Theatre Global won the Canadian Association of Theatre Research’s Ann Saddlemyer Award for the best book on a Canadian subject in 2021-22. I am Knowledge Mobilization Lead for Staging Better Futures/Mettre en scène de meilleurs avenirs, a cross-sectoral partnership addressing systemic inequities in Canadian theatre and performance post-secondary education.
