Mathilde Perahia escribe sobre enfoques artísticos circenses fuera de la corriente principal en Quebec. En su tesis publicada en 2021, utilizó conceptos inspirados en el pensamiento queer para ofrecer nuevas perspectivas sobre diversas representaciones circenses. ¿Qué comunican estas corporalidades, en relación con los entornos escénicos, de modos de estar en el mundo? Para sustentar sus reflexiones, Mathilde se basa actualmente en los escritos de Baptiste Morizot, Bruno Latour, Alain Damasio, Paul B. Preciado, Judith Butler, por nombrar algunos, pero también de artistas multidisciplinarios, que juntos la ayudan a considerar de manera diferente al ser humano en el el vivir, el cuerpo y el movimiento, en un proceso de apertura de pensamientos y prácticas. También es practicante aéreo especializado en corde lisse. En este contexto de exploraciones filosóficas y físicas, su reciente experiencia de maternidad la ha llevado a una investigación-creación en circo sobre el tema de la maternidad.
Mathilde Perahia writes on circus artistic approaches outside the mainstream in Quebec. In her thesis published in 2021, she used concepts inspired by queer thinking to offer new perspectives on various circus performances. What do these corporealities, in relation to the scenic environments, communicate of ways of being in the world? To support her reflexions, Mathilde currently draws on the writings of Baptiste Morizot, Bruno Latour, Alain Damasio, Paul B. Preciado, Judith Butler, to name a few, but also multidisciplinary artists, who together help her consider differently the human being in the living, the body and the movement, in a process of opening up thinking and practices. She is also an aerial practitioner specialized in corde lisse. In this context of philosophical and physical explorations, her recent experience of motherhood has led her to a research-creation in circus on the theme of motherhood.

La maternidad como nuevo territorio de investigación y creación : diálogo entre Chile y Québec / La maternidad cómo territorio nuevo de investigación y creación : diálogo entre Chile y Quebec
Este es un diálogo creativo sobre la maternidad, sobre nuestra maternidad como investigadoras y creadoras. Este proyecto tiene su origen en una conversación entre Mathilde (Québec y Francia) y Javiera (Chile) en Montreal y es un lugar de diálogo que busca arrojar luz sobre la condición de madres y artistas, madres e investigadoras, en un espacio donde Necesidad de experimentar el arte y la creación atravesados por la maternidad. La maternidad como territorio político y reflexivo. Desde diferentes territorios geográficos, en diferentes realidades, Mathilde y Javiera se encuentran para acompañarse en este proceso de transformación como mujeres y artistas investigadoras y se piensa en Bogotá como un encuentro culminante dando paso a una transcripción performativa de este viaje en inglés. y español, y un espacio de intercambio con otras madres-creadoras-investigadoras.
Maternity as a new research and creative territory : dialogue between Chile and Québec / La maternidad cómo territorio nuevo de investigación y creación : diálogo entre Chile y Quebec
This is a creative dialogue on motherhood, on our maternity as researchers and creators. This project has its origin in a conversation between Mathilde (Quebec and France) and Javiera (Chile) in Montreal and is a place of dialogue that seeks to shed light on the condition of mothers and artists, mothers and researchers, in a space where we need to experience art and creation traversed by motherhood. Motherhood as a political and reflective territory. As from different geographical territories, in different realities, Mathilde and Javiera meet in order to accompany each other in this process of transformation as women and researching artists and Bogotá is thought of as a climax encounter giving way to a performative transcription of this journey in English and Spanish, and a space of exchange with other mothers-creators-researchers.
